Homemade Antiperspirant Deodorant

A simple and cost-effective recipe for making a fresh smelling deodorant right from the comfort of your own home. The combination of natural ingredients and essential oils make this my go-to for a fraction of the price of store-bought deodorant.
Prep Time15 minutes

Materials

  • 2 Tbsp Baking Soda
  • 2 Tbsp Corn Starch
  • 2 Tbsp Jojoba Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Grated Beeswax
  • 20 Drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil
  • 20 Drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil
  • 10 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil

Instructions

  • In a double boiler, melt the grated beeswax then add the jojoba oil and essential oils, and stir well until fully combined.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the corn starch and baking soda until well mixed.
  • Pour the mixture into a clean, empty deodorant container or a small jar.
  • Allow it to cool and solidify before use

Notes

This homemade antiperspirant should help absorb moisture and neutralize odor while being gentle on the skin. Adjust the ingredients as needed for your preferred consistency and scent.
  • You can replace the cornstarch with arrowroot powder if you want.
  • Choose your own fragrance combinations to make a deodorant you love.
  • If you use a fragrance oil, ensure it is skin-safe before using.
  • This recipe makes the equivalent of 1 stick of deodorant.
